PR is now on gametactic!

I just wanted to show you this web-based tool that can be really useful in future campaigns and other organised events! A tool originally created for creating tactics for the game World of Tanks the developer had since been adding new games, I found out through the Squad tournament actually. Before, you could of course upload your own image files and create your tactics there - but now, with actually most of the work done by senshi and mineral we can have all PR maps and icons ready to go! You can still upload your own images and use the icons on them of course! http://gametactic.org/pr So what can you do with this? - Real-time drawing on a map with multiple people - Link-sharing - Slideshow - Chat - and more! I think this will mostly be useful in the PRT for deployements and such. Give it a look and I'll tell the dev what you have to say! First - there's a lot of icons. - What icons do you consider the essential ones? Second: Wouldn't some maps benefit from a white overlay? Which maps in that case? How does the grids line-up? Do they match in-game? Known issue: No grid overlay for 1km maps. The grid carries over from the last map. |

Vehicle icons are by far the most important.
Player icons (SQ icons) follow second. Kit icons are also important. Landing zones are good to have. I am missing the ingame flag icons (at least the cappable versions should be in, IMO). The icons currently in the "flags" section are useless and are not intended for map usage. Additional feedback: It'd be awesome if the icons would use their default size instead of the fixed set one (20px). You can adjust it, but it is the same for every icon, and in PR, some icons simply should be bigger than others (e.g. aircraft carrier vs dirtbike). The default icon sizes represent that (some are 64x64, others 16x16). Maybe use relative (percentages) values instead of absolute ones (pixel-based) to rescale icons.
