C5: The Pause & Signups

Hello everyone,

By now, you may have learned that the administration has paused C5.

The most important reason for this pause is that 0.6 is rumoured to be released in the upcoming weeks. A second, very important reason is that the total of active players on the tournament has dropped below the working threshold for teams to function properly. Though teams managed to fill up their servers reasonably in the last battle, its become clear that most of the time, its the same people that have to turn up.

Because of this, the administration has decided to open up signups again for a select ammount of people. Instead of randomly opening signups, like we do usually, we'll announce how many people we need for each team, and then open signups. That way, we prevent overflowing of teams and the community knows what to expect in signups. We expect the signups to open within the next few weeks.

We will also allow players to change teams during the pause. We've heard reports that some players are unhappy in their current place. We will allow them to switch teams and discuss with us their specific needs, so we can guide them to a place more suited for them. Feel free to post your support ticket about this subject.

On a different subject, the administration has, due to some recent activity on the boards, decided to adopt a more stringent approach to matters of respect and discipline. Some of you have complained that the administration has become soft when it comes to matters of discipline and we agree. We're hoping to give you a rule update in the near future.

As last item on the list there is the always present problem of admin staffing. At this moment, we are seeking out enthousiastic and skilled players to reinforce our admin team. With the tournament expanding into four teams, we find ourselves unable to cope with all the issues in a manner we expect of ourselves. To maintain our level of service and raise it up, the administration is currently looking for two new administrators. Please PM me or any of the staff to learn more.
